Open-Beta Is Live

Survival-Island has officially entered Open-Beta.

This marks the first time the server is opening to the public in a major way, and it’s a huge milestone for the project. Closed-Beta players have helped shape the island through testing, feedback, balancing, and plenty of chaos. And now, it’s time to expand the world and welcome everyone in.

If you’re new: Welcome!
If you’ve been here: Thank you for helping get us to this point!

Economy Overview

Survival-Island runs on three currencies.

Coins are the main currency, and are used in nearly every system on the server. As you play the SMP and build farms, almost every farmable resource can be sold for Coins, which makes farming and grinding one of the core ways players build wealth. Coins are taxed at a base 35% rate, and in exchange you earn 2.5% Material Essence. Both your tax rate and essence gain can be improved over time through upgrades.

Material Essence is more specialized. It has one purpose: the Essence Exchange. At the exchange, you can trade your Material Essence for Material Pouches, which can be opened to roll a randomized loot pool of materials.

Gems are the premium currency. They’re used to skip the wait and get straight to the fun: allowing you to purchase things like Material Pouches, Furniture Chests, and other cosmetic items.

What Are Materials Used For?

Materials are planned to be used in a wide range of island features as the server grows, but right now their primary use is crafting progression items like Blueprints and Furniture.

Blueprints are high-value rewards, either powerful tools or weapons. They’re purchased using Coins, then brought to the Blueprint Terminal, where you convert them into the finalized item using the required materials (and a bit of patience). Furniture also uses materials and coins to purchase and help you decorate your builds.

Island Level System

As you spend time on the island and interact with the server, you’ll earn Island EXP. You won’t be notified every time you gain EXP, but after some time you’ll notice you’ve leveled up.

Every 5 levels, you can claim a new reward. Every 25 levels, your star color evolves. And once you reach Level 150, you can Prestige! Unlocking even more rewards.
